31

1st cupcake recipe

Well...
last Friday I bought the new book from Harry Eastwood "Red Velvet & Chocolate Heartache" and it is beautiful!!!
I loved how she treats the food and makes them all come alive on the recipes. I decided to buy the book because my customers are always starting a diet and depending on the week that can make sales go down a bit so with delicious recipes that contemn less than 200 calories there will be no excuse!!! Also for me it came on great timing, as me and my hubby have been fighting excess weight for a while, a winning battle but a very hard one, even harder when i have to bake cakes every week..in the other hand its great to sale my cupcakes as this way we are only allow one each to try and the rest goes to the customers. Anyways...all the recipes on the book are with rice flour which is great as i am really sensitive to gluten. And there's also very little sugar or fat on it, with the bonus of having vegetables within the ingredients...so yes, i am enjoying it a lot!!! So bad that I had to watch this week's episode of Mock The Week (my fav show) 4 times to actually pay attention, all I could think about during my tv browsing was which recipe to try first!!!

well..that been said, after going through loads and loads of lovely options I went for this very delicate and girly Ginger Millies recipe which I will post here later this week…just a bit busy today I guess. Anyways, take a look on some of the stuff that goes into these cheeky lill treats.

oh well

I haven’t been here for a while now, life's was a bit too busy and troublesome on the last few months but now here i am...ready to change things around.
6 months ago I was made redundant when the company i worked for went under administration...with no money and loads to sort out in life I kinda lost the inspiration for my blog but some new was coming up...
well I say new but it only means new on how i deal with it now.

I like food...and everything about it...i have always loved cooking and in particular I looove baking, when the money was short and I couldn’t even get a temp job a friend gave me the suggestion to start selling my cakes. Well we've done a tasting at the office where she works and everyone seamed to love it...now all I had to do was to find a way to make my cakes look cuter and there I was, on the web when I’ve done my very first research on CUPCAKES and the PASSION started just right there, even before i baked a single one of them...just looking on how cute they are and how creative they would allow me to be already made fall in love with those little cups of magic.

My debut on the cupcake world was with this amazing recipe for a Passion Fruit and Coconut cupcakes, that I nicked from a food blog (unfortunately after researching and saving hundreds of tittles I cant find that particular one, but I promise to post the reference later...) anyways, passion fruit and coconut? That was a big hit and my very first passion sold like hot cakes.

Then next thing after the cupcakes was to fall for all those amazing food blogs that are out there on this virtual world, I just can't believe how many of them and how cool and really well managed they are.

Considering the new passions I found since January this year, I decided to make my blog a bit more "food friendly"..no ambition of being on Foodgawker or anything but I just feel I need to share this love for all things foodie and maybe have the chance to share my findings and creations with those who, differently from my other half, will understand why i just can't help keep on going on about it!!!
